Comparison scope and notes
Compares the paid desktop versions of Acrobat Pro and Foxit PDF Editor, with advanced Foxit features identified by the required edition, such as Pro. Univer includes the full Office SDK and optional modules, with SDK API and UI capabilities distinguished where relevant. Text and image editing depend on the PDF's content structure. OCR, scanning, or compression tools called by external agents require separate integrations and are not built-in Univer features. Generative AI is excluded; conventional OCR is included. Partial support notes describe the applicable scope.
The open-source edition includes only the frontend editors, not server components. Its formula engine has lower performance than the commercial edition.
